project-valueA collection of disabled Canadians sharing why disabled lives have value. In short videos, you can watch the contrast between their medical diagnosis and their real lives. The initiative is aimed at counter-balancing discussions in Canada about doctor-assisted suicide. The campaign’s creators say they worry that Canadians are only getting one side of the disability story – that death is a natural choice for these poor suffering disabled people. But this story doesn’t speak to the experiences of many with disabilities.

ensenando-sexualidad-thumbLa campaña apunta a la población sorda, pero también a que las personas oyentes tengan oportunidad de aprender algunos términos clave en lesco. Esto es particularmente importante para el personal de salud que brinda servicios y que pueda comunicarse con personas sordas usuarias de esos servicios. Es decir, es una campaña educativa para la población general y aporta a la inclusión a la sociedad de las personas sordas.
