The Day4All consortium was formed in 2015, to celebrate the International Day of persons with disabilities, on December 3. We realized that, in order to make the celebration truly inclusive, it should be open and welcome everyone. In addition to being a day for celebrating accomplishments and achievements of persons with disabilities, we believed that December 3 was an opportunity to invite people around the world to embrace persons with disabilities as part of human diversity. And A Day for All was born.
The Day4All consortium is formed by the Special Rapporteur on the rights of persons with disabilities, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of persons with albinism, the WHO, the ILO, the Office of the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights, the UN office in Geneva, the ICRC and its Special Fund for the Disabled, the International Disability Alliance (IDA), the Bulgarian Center for Not-for-profit Law, UNESCO, UNITAR, UNICEF, the UNHCR, and ITU.
